Position Requirements - All Jobs

If you are interested in a job for you character but are unsure of what you'll have to do, please refer to this thread to answer your questions.

The job system for adults on VH is leveled. This means that the quality of your job depends on your activity, post count and creativity. The more posts you have and the more creative you are, the more likely you will get a hire level job. If you are just starting out, it is more then ok to start with a lower level position and work your way up. No offense to anyone who is new, but you can't start off by being Minister of Magic, even if that is where you would like to eventually be.

Position Requirements: Professor

What we're looking for from you:

*Time: You've been with us for a bit and are a faithful member.
*Responsibility: You can work without receiving credit or rewards.
*Respect: You are respected by your fellow members because you have earned their respect.
*Posts: You must have a minimum of 200 posts before you will be thought of for any of these positions.
*Be an adult.

Duties:

1. Teach lessons and oversee the class that you have been picked to teach.
2. Create a minimum of 5 lessons and one final per term.
3. Be active at least 3 times per week unless on vacation or leave.
4. Award/deduct house points as needed.
5. Be creative.

Got the Position? Here's what you do next:

1. Continue to exhibit the qualities that earned you the position.
2. Begin creating a sign up list for your class so your class can get started!
3. Start thinking about your lessons. Have a plan for what you want to cover over the term.
4. Understand you may be let go for any reasons without warning or explanation.
5. Follow all guidelines set by the admins.
6. Don't forget to ask for help when you need it.

Position Requirements: Hogwarts Staff

What we're looking for from you:

*Time: You've been with us for a bit and are a faithful member.
*Responsibility: You can work without receiving credit or rewards.
*Respect: You are respected by your fellow members because you have earned their respect.
*Posts: You must have a minimum of 200 posts before you will be thought of for any of these positions.
*Be an adult.

Duties:

1. To roleplay in areas your job takes place.
2. To interact with students and other staff in a professional manner.
3. Be active at least 3 times per week unless on vacation or leave.
4. Award/deduct house points as needed.
5. Be creative.

*Nurse: Your job is to care for and help any students and staff who need medical attention in the hospital wing. Unless contacted for help in a thread elsewhere in the school, your job specific posts should stay in the Hospital Wing.

*Librarian: Your job is to take care of the library, and help manage the work posted there. Unless contacted for help in a thread elsewhere in the school, your job should specifically take place in the library.

*Caretaker: Your job is specific to caring for the animals in and around Hogwarts.

*Groundskeeper: Your job is to care for the grounds. You will also be in charge of keeping an eye out for spam, at which you will contact an administrator to handle the problem.

What we're looking for from you:

*Posts: You must have a minimum of 200 posts before you will be thought of for any of these positions.
*Be an adult.

Duties:

1. To roleplay your job in your shop.
2. To interact with adults and students appropriately for the type of shop you run.
3. Be active at least 3 times per week unless on vacation or leave.
4. To hire on help as needed. Right now, each shop has 1 position open as help. If you 'need' or would like more help, notify Emma Jackson so she can post a position for you. You must also approve anyone who wishes to be a worker in your shop before they will be accepted for the position.
5. Be creative.

What we're looking for from you:

*Respect: You are respected by your fellow members because you have earned their respect.
*Posts: You must have a minimum of 200 posts before you will be thought of for any of these positions.
*Be either an adult or student.

Duties:

1. To roleplay your job in the shop you work in.
2. To interact with adults and students appropriately for the type of shop you work in.
3. Be active at least 3 times per week unless on vacation or leave.
4. To interact with the owner of the shop as need be. They have the ultimate authority as to what can happen/be offered in the shop.
5. Be creative.

What we're looking for from you:

*Respect: You are respected by your fellow members because you have earned their respect.
*Posts: You must have a minimum of 200 posts before you will be thought of for any of these positions.
*Be an adult.

Duties:

1. To roleplay your job appropriately based on what we know of your specific job description.
2. Be active at least 3 times per week unless on vacation or leave.
3. Be creative. These positions generally don't require you to do anything specific or roleplay on a specific board allowing you to be creative with it. If there are requirements for your position or you are needed for something specific you will be notified.
