Via isn’t the most loving person in the world, but that’s because she never learned how to love properly. She can feel affection, to an extent, but part of her brain doesn’t connect it to a ‘nice’ or positive feeling so she is often in a state of constant apathy. She is warmer towards those she respects and admires, and chillier to enemies and strangers, but that isn’t always the case. Her moods will affect her overall ‘niceness’ and responses to the world around her. While Via can’t truly love, yet, she has a great capacity for hatred and bitterness. Instead of rationalizing and trying to process her emotions, she has a tendency to explode in small, but effective, bursts of anger. She does not consider herself a mean person nor as an evil person. She knows that she is thought of as an evil person, but this doesn’t bother her. Via doesn’t believe in good or evil anyways. She believes that human nature has a natural tendency to gravitate towards dark things and that we must embrace the dark before we can face the light.
Via is an anarchist, someone who strongly believes in the absence of any structural government or authority. It’s a trait that she hasn’t exactly revealed to everyone, but people are beginning to catch on. She also doesn’t like conventions of any kind. She thinks that humanity has set up too many rules to restrict themselves and stop them from achieving everything that they desire. For example, it makes no sense to her why people would protect the young, the sick, and the elderly. In her mind, all those in the wizarding world and the muggle world, be it man, woman, child, old, young, sick, handicapped, magic, or non-magic have an equal chance of being eliminated. ((This doesn’t necessarily interfere with her elitist views—she still believes that Purebloods are superior over muggle-borns, however being a Pureblood won’t ‘spare’ them from being killed any more than if they were a Muggleborn)).
Initially when she began plotting around the time of her fifth year, her plans were for a purification of the bloodlines and the eventual extermination of muggles, but it just wasn’t enough. Since then, she has turned her thoughts towards a full scale uprising. She understands that not everyone is going to agree with her, especially her fellow Death Eaters, the Order, and the Ministry of Magic, but it’s a price she is willing to pay. And if the world falls apart without control, so be it. Via cannot think of a more fitting end of the human race than to die as something truly free.
FRIENDS
Via doesn’t much care for people, but the more connections she can make the better. She would welcome anyone who shares her beliefs and wants to take part in her plans. She could also welcome those who would tolerate her. She has nothing personal against the other Death Eaters, for instance, or their leader. In fact, she’s rather curious about this ‘Lord Voldemort’ fellow, and so far she respects him a great deal.
Keep in mind, though, no matter how close you can get to Via, no one can ever take the place of her best friend in the world, Tobi Maughan, the only person that she trusts with her very life.
LOVERS
Via is technically bisexual. Of course she doesn’t understand romantic relationships in the first place, so gender doesn’t really matter. Her experiences with romance have been few and far apart. One interest was killed by a random dark wizard and another humiliated her in her early years at Hogwarts. Via can handle rejections, but not humiliation. She has a tendency to retaliate in nasty ways. Flirting and ‘advances’ are welcome, but she isn’t interested in anything serious at the moment. Romantically, she isn’t easy to handle. And if she gives her heart away, she isn’t about to let that person go without a fight.
ENEMIES
Via is bound to make enemies at some point for her outlandish beliefs and her somewhat sadistic personality. She likes to fight, however she is very reckless, and her pride may cause her downfall in a duel. Still, she’ll always get back up on her feet after being struck down. The only way she will ever ‘give up’ is if she is physically incapable to fight (ex. If she’s ill, severely injured, barely awake, etc) or dead.
