Michael is a half Spanish/half English pureblood. Born in Aragon, Spain in 1941, Michael came to England after his father disappeared in mysterious circumastances. New headmaster of Hogwarts, Albus Dumbledore, placed Michael into Gryffindor under the watchful eye of prefect and Griffindor head girl, Minerva McGonagall. Michael left Hogwarts after achieving outstandings in his OWLS and NEWTS. His solitary ways made him the perfect candidate to join the Ministry's Auror Office.
Michael is a skilled occlumens and is quite proficient at legilimency. Michael, from a young age, showed skill as a spell-caster and even showed skill as a spell weaver. Michael spent his first year at La Escuela de Magia y Brujería de España before the disappearance of his father and transfer to Hogwards School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in Britain.
Michael found his accent made for many problems and did his best to lose it. Living with his mother in Godric's Hollow; a Ministry safe haven for persecuted magic-folk.
Michael joined the Ministry of Magic during the rise of the death eaters and Lord Voldemort.
At Hogwarts, Michael was very much a loner and would often be found in the library reading about spells, charms, jinxes and curses. Michael was nearly expelled from Hogwarts after he accidentally discovered the Imperius curse and used it on Argus Filch's cat, Mrs. Norris. Only the intervention of professors Horace Slughorn and Albus Dumbledore, explaining that Michael couldn't have known what the curse was for as he was only a second year and the piece of paper explaining how to cast the spell was placed in his bag by unknown persons with no explanation of what the curse did or how bad it was.
Michael continued his studies and graduated top in all subjects. He'd initally applied to the Ministry to work in Magical Law Enforcement. He worked there for three years alongside Minerva McGonagall before transferring to the Auror Office. There he became one of the ministries best Aurors.
In 1970 he married his Hogwarts sweetheart, Demeter Smallwood, and went into semi-retirement dooing odd jobs for the Ministry if they had a particularly nasty problem they couldn't handle. He bought a cottage in Norfolk. In 1972 his first son, Gaius Aurelius, was born.
Sadly, being an auror, you make dangerous enemies and even more dangerous friends. In 1975 he returned from a week hunting the werewolf Fenrir Greyback to see a strange skull-like cloud formation hanging over his cottage. When he arrived the cottage was burned and his wife and child both dead. Michael discovered that his best friend, Titania Black, had defected to this new band of dark wizards called Death Eaters lead by this wizard known only as Lord Voldemort.
As Michael heard it, Black had revealed the location of the cottage and even helped Voldemort remove the charms protecting it.
Voldemort used the Cruciatus curse on his wife to try and find out Michael's whereabouts but, as what Michael did was secret, she didn't know. He then left her to the mercy of the other Death Eaters who raped and murdered her. Voldemort had killed Michael's son in an attempt to make his wife talk.
From that day, Michael vowed he would destroy every Death Eater in Christendom and rejoined the Auror office full time working with his brother, James, and two new apprentices.
